My life as a teenager during the exciting 1960's was thrilling and adventurous in so many ways.

I saw so many changes including NASA's Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. Beatle mania had

the world in its grip as did the Animals and the Stones. Black and white television in Perth was enhanced

when STW Channel 9 opened its doors in 1965.

But most importantly, Dad and I went diving. And I lived every boys dream of finding shipwrecks and treasure.

I proudly claim the post of being the youngest boy to stand above the shipwreck Verguilde Draek or Gilt Dragon.

I was there the day when cannon floated to the surface after 307 years.
